Teen Programs

Teen Book Advisory Committee

Fairmount Public Library is interested in having teens volunteer to assist in the development of the Teen Scene department. Interested teens can help choose books for educational and recreational purposes.

Teens can also provide input into a potential new Fairmount Library program called “Teen Read Week”, which will coincide with the national “Teen Week” in October.

Contact the librarian at fairmountpl@yahoo.com for more details.

While we work to further develop the Teen Scene collection, teens are encouraged to browse through the fiction and nonfiction materials and are welcome to suggest titles for inclusion into the library’s collection.

Computer and Internet Usage

Computer and internet usage is available. However, parent permission is required for anyone under 18.

Teens (ages 14-17) interested in accessing any social networking site, such as Twitter, Facebook, etc., must have a parent social networking permission slip on file in order to access.
