Who We Are

Our Mission

The Fairmount Public Library’s mission is to be the primary informational and educational resource for the rich cultural and educational heritage of the Fairmount, Fowlerton, Fairmount Township areas as well as any contractural townships areas (the Fairmount Library District).

Meet Our Library Director

Linda Magers

Linda became Fairmount’s Library Director in May, 1998. A life-long resident of Grant County, born and raised in Marion, IN, Linda has over ten years of experience as a junior high teacher and librarian for K-12. She has been a Brownie troop leader; a Tiger Cub troop leader; a 15-year member of Sigma chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority; a member of Ducks Unlimited and formerly active in a Retriever Field Trial group. Linda is a member of the American Library Association and the Indiana Library Federation. Linda is married, has one son, a Labrador Retriever, two English Springer Spaniels, and a cat.
