Fairmount Public Library has a combined Indiana and Genealogy section. This section houses a variety of reference works about our state and its notable Hoosiers.

Local works about Fairmount, its citizens, and landmarks are also included in this reference area. Included in this section is a transcript of Park Cemetery records. Several family histories have also been donated to the Library.

A special collection of circulating and non-circulating materials on James Dean may be viewed by patrons upon request.

A collection of FAMILY TREE CD-ROMs is also available.

Past editions of the FAIRMOUNT NEWS and FAIRMOUNT NEWS-SUN, and THE SUMMITVILLE SUN are on microfilm.

Past editions of the local yearbooks are available in print and CD format. They are available upon request.
