Come hear a story at the library! Story time is usually held on one Saturday a month at 11am during the winter months: December-March. Story time is open to any age group.
Specialty storytimes are held throughout the year. Some of the past storytimes have featured: the Harry Potter movie release, Christmas, Halloween, and Garfield’s Birthday. For the latest specialty storytimes, check the website or the library sign.
Summer Reading Program
The summer reading program is a theme-based reading activities for ages 4/5, K-3rd, and 4th-6th grades. Summer programs are open to Park elementary students. Events and programs take place during the months of June and July.
- Those with successful completion of assigned reading levels will be awarded prizes!
- Top readers in each age group will be able to choose a book
- Brownbag lunch activities are included
- The program offers specialty programs at various times throughout the summer (this includes seasonal, character-based themes, etc.)
Birthday Book Club
Parents or grandparents can donate money to buy their child’s/grandchild’s favorite book to be included in the library collection. A name plate honoring the birthday child will be placed in the book and a letter of recognition sent to the child acknowledging their birthday and the book gift.

Attention: Legos Fanatics
Interested in the Fairmount Library After-School LEGOS Club? Beginning in September the Club will meet from 4-5pm at the Library. Open to elementary-aged children.
