Computer Services

Computer Services

We have 6 computers available for your use during normal library hours. Our computers are frequently used to type resumes or school reports, for internet research, and by children playing games. Internet access is provided free of charge to the public. Our computers are very popular. Therefore, it’s a good idea to contact the library and reserve a computer in advance. We will honor your reservation as long as you are doing legitimate work or study-related searches. All patrons are asked to complete a Computer and Internet Usage application the first time they wish to use one of our computers. All juveniles must have their parents/guardians come into the Library in order to sign-up for computer usage. All of the computers are currently networked to either a color laser printer or a color inkjet printer. Please contact a librarian before you print to ensure you get the copies you need. All patrons are responsible for all copies printed out at the current fee.

Computer Classes

Basic computer classes may be arranged as needed for instruction on the Library’s computers or a patron’s laptop if they wish to bring them in. The Computer lab will be closed to the public during this time. Classes are open to any age group and are geared to our patrons’ interests, with hands-on experience as a priority. Classes are approximately 1 to 2 hours in length with a maximum number of 6 students in each class. There is no charge for this service.

Computer Filtering

Our computer filtering program allows social networking websites. Due to this, access to any social networking site by juvenile patrons ages 14-17 will require a parent or guardian permission slip. No one under the age of 14 will be allowed on any social networking websites.
