Story Time

Come hear a story at the library! Story time is usually held on one Saturday a month at 10am during the winter months: January-March. Story time is open to any age group.


Specialty story times are held throughout the year. Some of the past story times have featured: the Harry Potter movie release, Christmas, Halloween, and Garfield’s Birthday. For the latest specialty story times, check the website or facebook.

Summer Reading Program

The summer reading program is a theme-based reading activities for ages 4/5, K-3rd, and 4th-6th grades. Summer programs are open to Park and Summitville elementary students from the Grant County area. Events and programs take place during the months of June and July.


Why participate:

  • Those with successful completion of assigned reading levels will be awarded prizes!
  • Top readers in each age group will be able to choose a book
  • Brownbag lunch activities are included
  • The program offers specialty programs at various times throughout the summer (this includes seasonal, character-based themes, etc.)

Birthday Book Club

Parents or grandparents can donate money to buy their child’s/grandchild’s favorite book to be included in the library collection. A name plate honoring the birthday child will be placed in the book and a letter of recognition sent to the child acknowledging their birthday and the book gift.

LEGOS Club

LEGOS are available for plain the Main Library Room near the teen area.
