Fairmount Public Library Board meeting for May 20 will be held virtually. In keeping with the OPEN DOOR law, the meeting may be accessed by the public by
Go to Zoom.us. Click on Join a Meeting. Enter Meeting ID . Click Join. You will be placed in a “waiting room” until you are admitted into the meeting.
You will not be allowed to converse with the board. However, you may e-mail email@example.com with any questions or concerns.
FAIRMOUNT PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL BE OFFERING CURBSIDE SERVICES TO PATRONS, BEGINNING MAY 26.
The Library building will remain closed, but patrons may begin to enjoy new library materials by calling (765)948-3177 with their request; e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or use the contact form on the website, under the CONTACT US button; or by going to your library account and place holds on those items you would like to check out.
Once we process your request, staff will contact you with the details (if we found everything requested or did substitutions) and schedule a pick-up time. Once in the parking lot, call the library and staff will bring the items out to your vehicle. We are striving for no contact service.
All materials must be returned in the outdoor dropbox to ensure that the materials are placed in guarantine and santized for everyone’s safety.
Documents/Faxes: Please call the Library to obtain pricing information. You will place items in the dropbox with payment; staff will process the work; and then deliver the paperwork out to your car, maintaining no contact service.
During curbside service, computers will not be accessible. The library is still available for research questions.
We are working to making the library a social distancing and safe building for all staff and patrons and plan to move slowly through the Governor’s Back On Track guidelines as they fit with our county and community.
WiFi may still be accessed from outside the building through the password: goaheadandread. The network is fpl.

All materials checked out will have an extended due date and no overdue fines will be charged during the closed timeline.
2020 SUMMER READING PROGRAM:
Registration will open May 18 for children: preschool 4/5 year olds to Sixth graders. Parents may register their child (ren) on the Contact Us form on this website or call the Library (765)948-3177 for paper registration. All information packets will be availabe beginning May 26. Program begins June 1.
COLORING FOR ENJOYMENT
Open to all ages will meet the third Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm. Supplies are furnished, but feel free to bring your own.
PAINTING WITH LouRae: Acrylic painting is held the first Saturdays in the Fall and Winter. Fee for supplies: $25. Open to any age.
LEGOS CLUB will meet the third Tuesdays from 4-5pm for elementary students.
Effective August 17, 2015, faxing charge will increase for the first faxed page. The fee will now be $2.00 for 1st page. The cover sheet is still free and any additional faxed pages remain at $50c each page. Increased phone charges have resulted in this service’s first increase.

Interested in serving on the Library Board?
The library is looking for individuals residing in the Fairmount township to serve as a library board trustee. You must have lived in the township for at least two years to be eligible. This is a four-year term and the board meets the second Wednesday of every month, 6pm at the library. Please contact Linda for more information. Names are being taken for future reference.
Looking for a meeting place?
217 S. Main St has an open concept floor plan. There are several tables scattered in the Children’s, Adult and Teen areas. These are available during the Library Operating hours.
After hours use must be discussed with the Library Director and will be charged an hourly fee for the Library to be open.
Ink Cartridge Recycling
Bring in your old, used up inkjet cartridges (sorry, no Epson) and we will recycle them for you! You will help replenish our public computer ink fund.
